PTSO Mission

 The mission of the North Kingstown High School PTSO is to provide a forum where open communication between parents, teachers, students and administrators is encouraged and supported to ensure a comprehensive, enriching and collaborative educational experience for all North Kingstown High School Students.

PTSO Goals  

The PTSO continually enhances North Kingstown High School by supporting and promoting:

* Programs which enrich and extend the school curriculum;

* Teacher mini-grants which reward innovation in education and supplement the cost of  resources not provided for in the school budget; 

* Social events which bring together children, family, and faculty to promote friendship and good will;

* Staff acknowledgment;   

* Parent volunteers and parent involvement;

* Communication of information about school and community activities, programs, events and issues affecting the school community;

* The education, health, welfare and safety of all students.

The PTSO Fund    

We are proud of the contributions the PTSO has made to our school over the years. It is important to us to work with parents and members of the community to help create a stronger school environment for all North Kingstown High School Students. We do not engage in fund-raising events or ask your children to 'sell' items to you, your friends and relatives. Instead, we rely on donations to fund our efforts. Every contribution helps to enrich the learning environment for your children. Please keep this in mind and consider a donation.

Funding alone will not enhance our school. Please consider volunteering some of your time for PTSO-sponsored events, to attend our monthly meetings and to contribute your ideas for the enhancement of North Kingstown High School. It is a great way to meet people, to become more connected with the school community, and to have your voice heard. We need people with new thoughts and ideas to ensure we are always going forward and improving the services we provide. The PTSO meets monthly on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the Media Center at the High School. Our meetings provide a forum for parents, teachers and students to ask questions, raise concerns and obtain information about issues and events at the High School. Everyone is welcome to attend!
