The Electronic Portfolio System Every student is required to complete an electronic portfolio as part of the proficiency based graduation requirements (PBGR) for North Kingstown High School. The graduation portfolio is one way in which proficiency in schoolwide expectations for learning is measured.
Students complete one anchor assignment for each class every semester. At the end of the junior year students select from among all of their submissions and create a Graduation Portfolio that demonstrates proficiency. Each student also writes a summative reflection that addresses the four topics below.
Choose 1 assignment from your graduation portfolio that represents your best work and demonstrates your strengths as a student. Explain why this is your best work. Your explanation should include specific strengths and how you think they helped you in this assignment. Choose 1 assignment from your graduation portfolio that was proficient but may not have been your best work and explain why. Discuss your weaknesses as they relate to this assignment. How will you address this weakness so it does not affect your studies next year or in the future? Choose 1 assignment from your graduation portfolio that was the most challenging for you as a learner. Discuss what challenges you faced in completing this assignment and how you overcame these challenges. Describe your plans/goals for after high school and how what you have learned during your high school years will help you achieve those goals.
