Prior to returning to NKHS, he was a middle school principal in Cumberland (RI) and fellow in the Office of Secondary Reform at the Rhode Island Department of Education. He is a former United States Marine and holds a bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College, a master’s degree from Providence College, and a certificate of advanced graduate studies and doctorate in educational leadership from Johnson & Wales University. 401-268-6263 lynn_sironen@nksd.net Mrs. Sironen has been an assistant principal at NKHS for seven years. She was formerly the Assistant Principal for Teaching & Learning and currently serves as Assistant Principal for Management & Operations. Prior to her time as an administrator, Mrs. Sironen was a science teacher at NKHS and also served in the role of department chair. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island, two master’s degrees, one from the University of Rhode Island and one from Rhode Island College. She is completing doctoral work in educational leadership at Northeastern University. Mrs. Sironen is the mother of three NKHS grads and she and her husband reside in North Kingstown. |  | Denise Mancieri, Ed.D., Assistant Principal for Teaching & Learning 401-268-6289 denise_mancieri@nksd.net Dr. Mancieri began her career in education in 1992 and since then has fulfilled various key roles as an administrator and educator in both private and public learning institutions. Prior to her most recent position as chair for the Business - Careers department at North Kingstown High School, Dr. Mancieri taught business and computing technology courses in public schools at the middle and secondary levels in and around the North Kingstown area. She began her career in education at Johnson & Wales University where she held both teacher and leader roles as an adjunct faculty member for professional development and as the Director of Hospitality Career Services. At North Kingstown High School, Dr. Mancieri took on a number of key roles, most notably in support of initiatives focused on standards based curriculum development, teaching practices that meet and exceed learning expectations, and respect for student diversity. Dr. Mancieri is a member of International Society for Technology Education. She earned her Doctorate in Leadership Elementary/Secondary Education in 2008, a Master of Arts in Teaching from the same university in 1995, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island in 1989.
