The COZ Family Learning Partnership is a vital and active part of the North Kingstown School Department. All COZ Family Learning Programs are school based or school linked to enhance and support the district's commitment to student achievement through family learning. Through this school-to-home partnership, we offer extended year and extended day learning opportunities to children and families from birth through high school. Services are delivered in the school, the home, and in the community.

As the town's designated Child Opportunity Zone site, or COZ (pronounced COZy), we have been serving children and families in our community for over 15 years. Most family education programs are available to all North Kingstown families; many are offered at no charge.

Our goals are simple: to help ensure that children come to school ready to learn, that families have the tools and support necessary to raise happy, healthy children, and that the community is invested in sustaining strong families through education and involvement.

Our broad array of parent and family develpment services offers families education-based opportunities for learning, playing, building on individual and family strengths and meeting challenges. Whether it's early childhood educaton, GED classes, a parenting workshop, after school or summer programs, a developmental screening, or just a place to drop in and talk, the Family Learning Partnership has a place for you!
