 This exploratory course will involve the students in the study and use of basic woodworking tools, the study of wood characteristics, how industry uses wood products, and the production operations related to industry. This hands-on course will test the student’s creative ability while providing an open atmosphere of individual and group learning activities.
There is nothing like getting ready for summer vacation and the beach season. With that in mind, students are producing beach chairs to lounge around on. Some pictures of the first trimester's student work will be coming soon!! |
Students are assembling their beach chair frames and are working in small groups while helping each other out!! We have designed seat assembly jigs to simplify the process of putting the seat together. Students are using exterior wood glue and decking screws to assemble the seat slats to the seat supports. Students are applying the TEAM(Together Everyone Achieves More) principle while working on their beach chairs cooperatively. |
